Pro-96 & Bucks County

Hello all...I am a proud new parent of a Radio Shack PRO-96 Digital scanner. I live in Bucks
County Pa and I'm trying to figure this thing out. Could someone help? As of right now Im only interested in listening to Bucks County. I'll tackle the other stuff later on. Again, any help would be greatly appreciated.

I responded to this on the Radio Shack forum but ill repost my response here.

Do you have a programing cable from RS and Win96 from starrsoft.com? Win96 makes things so much simpler or at least easier.

thanks for getting back to me. No, I don't have those items you spoke of. I have all the banks un-selected with the exception of "8" which is bucks County. For now I'm only interested in listening to : Fire dispatch, Fire north, EMS north, PD zones 6/11 & 7/10, North fire police,Fire emergency band. Can't seem to lock out everything else

Are you using the TRS? And have you ever used a radio shack scanner?

Guy...forgive me for being so stupid, but I'm not sure. I've been reading the users manual but it's a little confusing. I have an old RS Pro 2004, it's 18 years old (that still works great). But I'm new to the PRO-96.

You apparently downloaded V-Folder 5 which is set to OPEN Mode scanning if you are hearing everything. Verify by observing a + under the number 8. To change this + to a -, press FUNC + 5 and note line four temporarily listing Bank Closed and the change to - under 8 on line 1. This will change scanning to only those programmed in the sub-banks. Folder 5 only has the PD/Fire and EMS programmed.
