Pro-96 CT/DC Programming question

When using Win96, and programming a conventional frequency that uses a PL tone, Do I have to put the tone freq in AND select CT on the RxMode?
Or can I just put the PL tone in and leave RxMode at FM?

Set the mode to CT. Otherwise, the tone data is ignored.
