Pro-96 Garbled Audio Issue

Apologies if this has been brought up before...

I have my Pro-96 and Pro-2096 sitting next to each other... While audio comes through clear on the 2096, the 96 either emits no audio or garbled audio equivalent to the sound of an encrypted transmission - even though signal isn't encrypted...

Am I looking at having to send this thing in?

Could be a signal strength issue. What antenna are you using on each scanner?

Also you could check the antenna Connection , both outside & inside the radio to insure all is secure & the wire on gthe insode hasn't come loose
