pro-96 help!

I'm trying to figure out what happened here. I had a couple of control channels from my state's new digital statewide system, (Illinois), programmed into my 96. Up until today the display read MO in the top right corner of my scanner, and I had the tower# and other info displayed also. Now, I turn my scanner on today and instead of MO on the display I have Dg. I tried pressing mode to get it back to MO but it switches immediatly back to Dg. Also, the info on the tower and other info is no longer showing up on the screen. Also, the sound of the control channel is diffrent than before. The system (starcom21) is not in use yet but they are rapidly putting up new towers in several parts of the state. Is there something wrong with my scanner has there been some changes on the state's end. any help is appreciated, I've been a scanner listener for many years but am unfamiliar with digital systems.

Dg means it's picking up a digital transmission. It's not a mode (in the AM/FM/ED/MO scheme of things). If they were analog before, it would have continued showing the MO mode.
