If you hold on the control channel and put the squelch all the way down do you get "repeater noise"? Do you receive everything else ok and just that system doesn't come in?

857.7375c

and there is the simulcast word.
that can cause broken to no communications.
you might try and move the radio and antenna around, or take it for a drive nearer a tower if you know where one might be.
it would not matter, but i see that 857.7375 is in there twice.

The new system is P25 Phase 1. The PRO-96 is capable of P25 Phase 1. You are OK since the new system is using 800 MHz frequencies (PRO-96 cannot trunk track 700 MHz). It is a 3 site simulcast system which may or may not give you problems depending upon your location. If the scanner is programmed properly and the system is not being received, you may need to adjust VR4 inside the scanner.

Pro-96 is P-25. Just not a good scanner for P-25 anymore.

The pro-96 will work fine for P25 Phase I systems. I've used a pro2096 for the past 15+ years receiving the Indiana statewide system. The 2096 is base/mobile version of the pro96 handheld.
