Yep, or when you first turn it on...
I know I use to be able to do stuff to change the display while scanning on one of the models I've had in the past, but I don't know of anything for the Pro-96.

It's been a long time, but I know on one of the models if you press 0 and 3 when you first turn it on it will show the channels and frequencies while scanning. Don't quote me on it because it was a while ago when I heard it. Hope this helps any.
