I have been using Win96 to program my scanner for about 6 months now. Last week I was updating some different things and something very strange has happened. On Win96, Bank 0 is named AusTrav Fire and Bank 1 is named Austin EMS. However when I upload this in to my scanner and start to use it, Bank 1 says AusTrav on my scanner when it should say Austin EMS. Once I noticed this I went back to Win96 to make sure I had saved everything correctly and everything looks fine. I am not sure why it is naming my bank differently than what I have programmed. Maybe someone can give me some insight.

Are these trunked systems?? If so you will not see the bank name...you will see the Frequency alpha tag and the talk group ID alpha tag.
If it is a conventional channel with a PL/DPL you will see that instead of the Bank name.
The only time you will see the Bank name is when you are scanning a conventional frequency with NO PL/DPL.

You are 100% right. They are trunked systems. I just realized my problem. I copied and pasted the alpha tags and frequencies from bank 0 and I forgot to change the alpha tags when I put them in bank one to Austin EMS. Thanks for helping me realize the mistake that I made.
