Hi all,

A friend of mine brought me his Pro 96 to Troubleshoot. I did a reinitialization and put in some basic talkgroups both digital and analog. His DSP was 1.1, I was not able to get digital talkgroups to decipher so i upgraded the DSP to 1.2. still no digital talkgroups. Upgrade to 1.3, still no digital. Upgrade to 1.4 DSP still nothing

Have programmed all freqs and CC's only for RCS South Zone

Open and Closed modes yielded the same results.

Does anyone have any suggestions how to proceed ?? Before sending it to RS for help

TY Don

OK reverted to 1.1 DSP and Changed antenna to 800 mhz. Does pick up digital talkgroups but very broken. Have only CC's programmed thru Win96 as a splinter system from RR database. The clarity is the issue. Lots of broken signal compared to my Grecom 500 side by side Also im in Lakeside

Here's a shot in the dark.

There is a thread somewhere in the RR forums that explains how to adjust the VR4 dial on the circuit board of the Pro-96. It helped my decoding issues.

Also, what decode % is shown for the CC?

Pro96 Fixed

TY all for your replies. Was able to Fix the decoding problem with a slight tweak to VR4. An 1/8 turn counterclockwise fixed it perfectly.

TY Again
