I took my scanner to Radio Shack today. I told them it was still in warranty and that the unit needed to be shipped off for the 1.3 CPU update. I was in and out in 10 minutes.

Thanks for the heads-up Dave. I just got my PRO-96 last Thursday, and i'll probably send it in a few weeks or so.

bkscoop told me about it... thanks, b! From what I've read, some stores already have the fixed radios. I take it yours isn't one of them?

I bought mine at the RS in Prattville, but it came UPS from the warehouse. There was only one store in the Montgomery Metro area that had PRO-96s in stock, and I didn't want to pay Montgomery's 10% sales tax!!!

It came with the latest DSP version, though
