I'm new to the scanner game, just bought my first, a Pro 96. It came with a bunch of presets, V Scanner, which I'm now using. I downloaded a trial version of the ARC96 software, which seems pretty simple to use. I'm pondering registering it and buying the full version, but wondered if anyone had any other recommendations? Should I get a subscription to the radioreference database, or just use the ARC software, or a combination of both. I apologize if I sound naive, but I'm totally new to this game. Thanks
in advance!

Jerry.

Get Win96 from www.starrsoft.com and a subscription to this web site. The combination of the two make it a breeze to program the Pro 96.

You use the Arc software to connect to rr database & download whatever frequencies you need & then upload to the scanner
