Pro-96: Pro 96 question by a Newbie

I just purchased a Pro-96 at a very good price and with the understanding that it could be rebanded. The question is after the rebanding process what will the scanner be able to do and not do? Will it be able to pick up 700? Like I said I am very new to this and trying to learn. I am wanting to listen to Police and Fire in Baytown, Texas as well as Chambers County Sheriff and Liberty County Sheriff here in Texas. Thanks for any and all help.

Yes, the 96 can be rebanded, but you must use ARC96 or Win96 (2 software programs) to do this. We have articles in our wiki for this; let me know and I'll dig them up

This scanner will not do 700 Mhz trunking, nor will it do Phase 2 - so if any trunk in your area uses these, this radio will not cover it.
