Greetings all.

It has been some time since i programmed my Pro-96 to monitor the local TRS. Once i got things straight I pretty much haven't touched the thing in 2 years and it has worked quite reliably. Recently they rebanded and I was able to regain the ability to receive traffic using Win96 by following the instructions posted here. All was not well...

I originally (before the rebanding) had the TRS frequencies set on RX Mode MOT and talk groups would show up as programmed. Now If I have RX mode set on MOT I cannot receive any traffic, only by setting the RX mode to FM am I able to receive, but the talk groups are not showing up, and I cannot program the scanner to stay on only one talk group as I could before. Is this a symptom of rebanding, will it take a while for the locals to get the talk groups set up again after the rebanding, or did I do something wrong in setting things up on my end?

Thanks!

With that system, all you should need to do is enter the new frequencies, you should not need to change any trunking tables in the scanner. Set the system and channels to MOT, and then set the MOT 3600 CC option to "Normal".

The frequencies listed in the Database should work without the custom table.

Also the FCC license shows 16 channels, but the database only shows 10, you might want to check to see if the new frequencies are in use, and if any of those are the control channel.

Here in my city we have a Motorola TYPE11 3600 baud 6 channel analog system...Motorola changed the #ing order of the freqys with rebanding so i had to reduce the freqys by 15mgz, go to Win96, upload my PRO96 tworkpad, go to multitable, enter th proper steps for "rebanding 3600baud, press enter and re-download to the PRO96 and the City of Joliet, Illinois works perfect.....I also have a 346XT, 396XT and put the proper rebanding steps in those and it works perfect...On the PRO96 you must set the "bank" to "MO" and each freqy also or it will not trunk or see the ID TG's....

Thanks Mikey60, as I had posted in the Lowndes County thread the extra freqs in the FCC listing did the trick.

Lowndes County...

They added control frequencies. Before they were using one and had one for alternate. But alas, they had a radio come up missing and changed control frequencies and added a third control channel and some more frequencies. Good to see someone else from Lowndes County...LOL! I knew something was up when during the last tropical storm I turned on the scanner and nada. What the heck...so I searched through the 800 mhz frequencies and found the new control channel. All I had to do was change that and then added the other new frequencies later and was back up and running. What I did now was put all 3 control channels in each bank so if they decide to switch for some reason I'll be up. Have a good holiday and new year...
