Pro-96 repair center

I gave RS my Pro-96 today to be sent in under warrenty. The problem (that i've also had with several of my Pro-95's) is that the antenna connector to the circut board came lose. When listening to VHF/UHF, it only works if you apply pressure against the antenna to make a connection inside the scanner. It still works (not very good) on 800mhz because you don't need an antenna if you're close enough to the source.

Anyways, they sent it to Service Center 04-0313, in Murray UT. I thought the digital scanners had to be sent to Fort Worth, TX. Can anyone clear this up?

I happen to live in Salt Lake City, Ut. and know right where the service center in Murray is. I have taken two scanners to that repair center and both times they have had to send them to Ft. Worth. I think they can handle the light repairs on them but both of my problems were to major for them.

Murray now handles all repairs for all RS's in the Western States (CA, OR, WA, NV, ID, etc...)

They do the repairs on most all products (except wireless phones, which go to centers in CA and Kentucky...)

Occasionally, they will require certain "specialized" repairs (like the original upgrades on pro-96's,) be done at one particular center (like the one in Fort Worth.)
