I have a Radio Shack Pro 96. I am in the Raleigh NC area and monitor the NC VIPER 800 MHz trunked system. Currently I'm using the Radio Shack 800 MHz antenna. I'm looking for advice an antenna for mobile use, mag mount preferred. Also, looking for suggestions for an outdoor antenna for the house. Thank you in advance for any information.

I used an 800 mhz mobile radio antenna for a mobile application with fantastic results, since all I used the Pro-96 for was Apco 25 monitoring. Except instead of mag mount I used NMO mount and the BNC connector directy to the scanner
