That's exactly what mine started doing.
I took it to RadioShack 3 times! It came back from the repair center 3 times and was exactly the same except for them losing my antenna and crushing in the back plate buy they fixed that.
It got to the point I brought in my 396 and my XTS5000 to demonstrate the difference and prove that it doesn't work properly. I'm still waiting for the service center to authorized a total unit replacement. :roll:
So, the point is that you should be prepared to prove that the unit is not working correctly and make sure you document everyone you contact throughout the process if you decide you need to have it serviced.
For whatever reason the service center seems to have difficulty troubleshooting the digital portion of the radio.

ffalh3940 said:I stopped the scan on the control channel, and the percentage rate was 99%. the radio just will not decode. I also noticed that the percentage fluctuates alot. It will go from 99% down to 25% adn bounce around to different percentages. Any ideas on what the problem could be?
