First, welcome to the board!

The best thing you can do for yourself with a Pro 96 is go go to:
http://www.starrsoft.com
and download Win96. It will change your entire programming experience.

If you want to scan the CB freqs at the same time as others, just program the frequencies for the CB channels in, and make sure you set them to AM.

A list of those freqs can be found here:
http://www.radioreference.com/apps/wiki/index.php?title=Citizens_Band

Good luck, and enjoy your new Pro 96!

It's not easy to scan C.B. frequencies. There is so much noise on the channels, that it will very often lock on one of these, and that's what you'll hear, and it won't scan any further. If you set the squelch high enough to skip the noisy channels, that it will most likely skip many of your other frequencies that you want to scan. Added to that, most all antennas used on scanners do not work well at all for C.B. frequencies. Give it a try, see what happens.

True. I've noticed that I have to turn the squelch up a tad-bit higher than I normallly would on the bank that I have the CB freqs in (using a Pro 95 and Pro 83).

I think the trick to do this "successfully" is to have a good multi-band antenna. The Diamond rh771 seems to do this pretty well.
