Pro-96 Sound Problems

Hey, I have had my pro-96 for about 1 year now and I am having sound problems. When I listen to any system and I have the sound all the way up I can barley hear it at all even with no backround noise at all. When I pull the sound knob back and push it in kinda hard the sound goes back to normal them when I let go it goes quiet again. I have not dropped or anything.

Should I just send it into Radio Shack or what? Thanks for any help!

There have been prroblems with the volume control coming lose on various RS scanners. I had a similar problem with my 96 when it was still under factory warranty. I sent it back in and had them tighten the knob and all is good now.
