The 96 always scans through the banks I have on. which is correct in scan mode of course.

How can I select a certain talkgroup ID, and only listen to that? there are 2 ways I can do it now, which is a major PITA. lock out ALL other channels except the one I want (which is a lot of locking/unlocking) or wait til I hear the talkgroup talk, and press pause...

is there a way where I can go through the talkgroups and select the one I want it to tune to???

for example, I'm listening to PD channel, and they are on 1A, they xfer over to 1B. how can I switch over?

I never did figure out how to do that with my Pro-96.
With the Pro-106 you can just hit manual, then use the left/right arrow to get to the wanted scan list, then use the up/down arrow to go to the wanted talkgroup.
That's one reason that I sold my Pro-96 when I bought my Pro-106.

1. Press program, then trunk.

2. Step through the talkgroups to find the one you want.

3. Press function then trunk.

You are now locked onto the talkgroup you want to montor. You can resume scanning by pressing scan, or the pause key.

Works on my 96 and 2096 everytime! tis in the manual...Hope this helps.

The 106 IS an AWESOME scanner! Still getting mine ready for action!

Happy Holidays!

Chipl, thanks for the response, but is there an easier way? lets say they go from ch 1A to 1B, is there like just one button (like up and down arrows) that would let me select it? thats hell of alot of work to quickly switch.

it'll def do for now though :)

thanks again

Hello, I have the same type of question. I just bought a pro-164 and trying to do the same thing. What I really want is to be able to program the talkgroups as memories. So if I want to listen to dispatch, the tralk group is programmed to memory 1, if I want TAC1, memory 2, special ops, memory 3, etc. Is that possible?
Thanks,

Lewis
