Hello, I am running 2 PRO 96 scanners on Wyolink. My problem is I run them at the same time, One radio will pick up traffic and the other wont, I have a bank for VHF trunking and another with 800 trunking and the same talk groups in both banks. Everything is downloaded Win 96 of RR Data Base. I have this trucking table programmed into the VHF bank

CH LOW 8192
CH HIGH 12287
OFFSET 8192
STEP 2.5
Base Freq 150.9925 MHz

Is this the only Table I need programmed in? Both radios are hit and miss on both 800 and VHF. And I am using BNC VHF commercial antennas one both radios. Thanks for your help.

The problem with using a PRO-96 to monitor the WyoLink system, is that the PRO-96 only allows 6 trunking tables, while the WyoLink system currently uses 8 tables. You could program tables 02 thru 07 to receive all the VHF traffic, but not the 800 and 700 MHz traffic. Or you could program tables 00 thru 05, since 06 and 07 are rare. Some traffic will not be heard, but rarely. Look at the WyoLink database for the multi-trunking tables 00 thru 07. - Tom P.S. To answer your question, NO, the table you listed is NOT the only table you need to program in.

P.P.S. Sites 207-Copper Mountain, 210-Cedar Mountain and 221-Warren Peak use ID's 06 and/or 07. - Tom

You didn't say where you were located.

Dispite that, the 800 sites will only transmit talkgroups that a 800 radio is sitting on (and vice versa).

The way that SmartZone and P25 Phase 1 (which Wyolink is) and Phase 2 systems work is that the sites will only transmit talkgroups that a local radio is affliated on. VHF and or 800, it doesn't matter.

So, if your in downtown Cheyenne and no 800 radio is on say... Troop AXO 1, you will not hear any traffic on the 800 site even though there are many conversations on the VHF side. Now, should a 800 radio have Troop AXO 1 programmed in, and that radio user selects that talkgroup, then you will head that AXO traffic on the 800 system until: The radio user changes the traffic and no other 800 radio is affiated on that channel or the radio is turned off and didn't transmit the deaffliation packet and the system automatically drops the talkgroup (typically 12 hours or less).

In Cheyenne you will typically only hear Cheyenne City Fire, and lately sometimes county fire traffic for the districts who bough VHF/800 APX radios (which will affiate to the 800 site if the signal is stronger) and in Casper its mostly the city/county law enforcement.

To the user, its seamless. To the scanner user, you have to monitor both bands but usually VHF will suffice.

Thanks Guys, I am in Cheyenne, I put in vhf tables in the scanner. It works great, The 700 MHZ & 800 MHZ confused me. I am running 1 bank for vhf Wyolink another bank 800 Wyolink. I got a pro 106 about 1 Year ago but returned it, I could not figure out the programming software.

You should have kept the 106. There are lots of seasoned pros on here who can help with programming. I'm not one of those but there are some real EXPERTS here who don't mind helping newbes like me. Hope you get your stuff worked out.

Happy New Year.
