Is there anyway to force the pro 96 to stay on one weather channel? I am right inbetween channel 2 and 7 's area for my state. The scanner is fighteing between the 2 channels and I am afraid i am going to miss an alert of something important when I place it in SAME mode.

what do you mean?
If it's in Wx Alert mode it will not scan.
It just stays parked on one channel.
that's what mines always done anyways..

Put the desired WX channel in channel 000, lock it out and set that channel as priority. When the tone sounds, it'll go to that channel.
