Pro-96/Win96 Programming Problem

Just started playing with programming my Pro-96 with Win96 and I have found something that doesn't look right. In Win96 when I enter the the following freq. it changes in Win96 after I enter it.

I enter in 154.87000

And when I go to the next channel it changes to 154.86750

Is this normal? Am I doing something wrong? Or?

that is not a valid frequency, so the scanner is moving to the closest frequency. Recheck your sources for the correct frequency.

Only problem with it is the military uses some strange frequencies.

150.8000 is one instance. Not a valid freq, but the military doesn't have to use valid freqs. Sure you'll still be able to hear it for the most part as long as it isn't encrypted...

The frequency under discussion is in the spectrum that is regulated by the FCC, included in their rules is a list of all legal frequencies.

The military works outside the FCC spectrum, thus what they do has no bearing on the FCC assigned frequencies.

Worst case, it's only 2.5 kHz off so you should still hear anything if it were on 154.870 fine. However, there SHOULDN'T be anything there. That said, there are some non-legal frequencies used in my area. Some are even local users close to state-only frequencies.
