I have had my Pro-96 since May 2004. While there was nothing in my area that was actually "digital" yet, they were making the transition to the new digital system.
The new scanner helped me kind of get through my off time from work with heart bypass surgury. Trying to read through all of the manual and just trying to learn about digital scanning took me some time. On 8/1/2004 Chattanooga TN moved over to a "mixed" system. While only the radio shop is the only thing showing as digital at this time, it was exciting just to see it appear at all. Recently I have found a local conventional frequency that is digital. This was also exciting to me.
In late September I went to Michigan to see grandkids. Of course I took my Pro-96 on the trip. It was interesting going through all of the states and cities and finding digital signals. Just thought I would share this since no one has maid any posts to this forum lately. Happy Holidays! ! !
