Ok I am kinda old school,so I was trying to program my pro-96,programming a uhf trunked system.I have to program two base frequencies and manually doing so it will only let me do one,so I take it in order to program the other stuff I need to download the program and have the cable?

Yes sir, you take it right. I believe that you can only enter in one manually but with Win96 you can enter up to six.

Although I would get the cable/program for the ease of programming the scanner in the first place. Once you have used it, you'll wonder why you ever put up with entering everything manually.

another question

manually how does one go from one talkgroup to another.Every time I hit manual to go to like a disp. channel to say like a tac channel all I get is like the data channel buzz,HELP.Or do I have to program something through the computer?

to manually scroll from talkgroup to talkgroup press prog trunk use the up down arrows to the talkgroup you want then press func trunk.
