I have 2 Pro 96's , I programmed them the same yet when ya set them side by side only one will receive...any suggestions?

Check to see if it receives the weather bands. If not, these scanners had issues with the BNC antenna connector rocking too much and causing it to separate from the board inside. A little solder fixes the problem.

Maybe you're on the wrong V-folder? Program-function-Program enables different folder choices. Maybe one is using a different folder? that's all I got unless it's busted

First, check the squelch setting. Try swapping the antennas between the scanners. While the cover is off checking the solder connection, if you have programmed only P25 systems (no conventional frequencies), you may have to adjust VR4 inside the scanner not receiving. It is marked on the circuit board.
