Pro-97 and EDACS Problem

Hi,
I just picked up a Pro-97 and tried to program an EDACS trunk into bank 0 (Carmel, Indiana). I entered the 5 Logical Number Freqs starting with Channel 1, not 0. I entered all the fleet numbers (they looked like xx-xxx) into the subbanks. All 5 channels are marked ED. I hear nothing when scanning. When I am in manual mode on a single channel, I hear transmissions. I've tried making the trunk Open and Closed and get the same results - nothing. I read another post that said to make sure the bank is marked ED. I dont understand this, is there a page number in the manual that explains this. Sorry if this a real newbie question, I am stumped!!

Pages 67 and 68 in the PDF copy of the manual I downloaded from RS (I don't have a paper manual).

Assuming you're in manual mode in the desired bank:
Press PGM
Press TRUNK
Press MODE until EDACS appears on the second line (ED will appear on the third line).

Thanks for the info. I found out I didnt have all the Logical channel frequencies, so EDACS wasnt complete. It works great now!

Andy, I am glad you figured it out. I was trying to figure out what you were looking at but what through me off was your description of the TRS. I am guesing now that you were looking at the Hamilton County Public Safety System, but that is still a guess.

Just for future reference, when looking for help, please put the proper name for the system and or area that you are looking for help with.
