The 97 only tracks analog trunking systems. Philly police are on a digital system. You need either the PRO-96, or the Uniden BCD396T, or BC296D. Or the base models if you prefer.
Keep you eyes on this board and ebay for some used models.

Take care!!

No problem...I have a PRO-96 and I absolutely love it!! Best scanner I ever owned. The digital sound quality is the best you will find on the market right now!!
When you get it, join the Yahoo PRO-96 group, go to the files section and download the Philly.p96 file and load it right in. You will need Win96 to do it, but it is worth the $30 for the software...Oh yeah, and you will need a programming cabel too form RS...that will cost you another $25. But again, well worht it!

Enjoy!!

awesome!

thats awesome! im getting it for my dad, so any pre-programming i can find for it will be well worth it. he's older and so it was hard to teach him how to use the last scanner i bought him. its been a few years since he has listened to the police on a scanner, even before the switch to the new digital system. so, thanks again!
