Pro-97 Assistance

I have a RadioShack Pro-97 Scanner. I have the software to program it as well. I've set it up to scan the motorola frequencies, and I have put in the Talkgroup ID's into it. I have to set it up to scan the talkgroup id's and then hit the PSE key on the channel I want to listen to. My old radioshack scanner I programmed the frequencies into it, and then the talkgroup id's and i could manually select what I wanted by hitting the up and down arrows. Is this at all possible on the Pro-97?
