Pro-97 Bank Text Tags

Is there anyway to display the bank text tags in the pro-97 when it stops on a conventional freq? In Win97 it says just enter the text tag into the bank display at the top and it will display when it stops on a conventional, non-trunked frequency. I have done this and yet, no text. Any suggestions??? Thanks!

The Pro-97 will not show a bank text tag when it stops on on a conventional freq. It shows the bank text tag while it is scanning the bank. The software will not let it show it unless I have missed something. That seems to be a littl more deeper than Win97 can program but maybe Mr. Starr has changed something?

No, it can't be done.

GRE seems to have changed the behavior of the bank tag on the PRO-97 (the 93/95/96 would show the bank tag on the 4th line for freqs programmed as AM or FM).

Thatt's what I thought. But you do have 16 spaces for text and that is more room most service radios have so you can get creative with your tagging. It does workout good with using the CT/DC you can add a little more info on the line than the earlier GRE 9X scanners. I jsut wonder about the screen size on the 2055 it looks like the same as the 2067/2096 screen.
