does this radio shack pro 97 receive 900mhz , i have programmed all the numbers for san marcos texas and do not recieve anyting on ED

It does it very well. Now, when you programmed the scanner, did you put the correct LCN (start with x01, not x00, for frequency 01), AND, press the trunked button and put the talkgroup section in EDACS mode, and enter your talkgroups. It should work very well. And, make sure you have the correct tower site for your area. There are multiple towers in the San Marcos/New Braunfels area, and if you choose the wrong tower, your scanner may seem to not work. Thus, put different towers in different banks, and see what you find.

then it should work fine ... make sure both the bank mode and mode for each frequency is set to "ED" ... also, it is very very important to enter the freqs in the correct LCN ...

Let me know if none of this helps- I have access to a Win97 file with most of the New Braunfels/SM area saved. You would need the free Win97 program and the cord to connect to your PC. The file is on a laptop in New B, but if you can't figure it out that is an option.
