Pro-97 Power Saver mode

Hi,

New here and just got my Pro-97. I have a question. How do you toggle the Pro-97 in and out of power saver mode?

I want to keep the display light on, I press and hold the light button till it beeps, then the unit turns the light off and goes into power saver mode on the display.

That's wierd. When I hold down my backlight button until it beeps, the lighting stays on until I turn it off with another press of the button.
I think the power-saver mode is constant, anytime you are in "manual" mode.
Try turning the backlight on, and set the scanner down and just listen, and see if it stays on.

Power saver mode

I press and hold the display light until it beeps, set the unit down, light stays on say 2 minutes, then goes into power saver mode, by shutting the light off and the display says "power saver on" I just wish to toggle this function off so ther light will stay on.

Mine does that also, and I'm not sure how to get out of powersave mode, but when it recieves something the light goes back on for about 5 sec after the transmission is over, and goes back into power save mode.

News Flash... To keep the light on when in man. mode just press the program button and do nothing else, the light will stay on and the unit will not go into power saver mode.
