After having a PRO-92, PRO-93 and a few PRO-95s; I have purchased a PRO-97. One feature of each of these scanners that I use is TEXT that identifies each BANK. For example I use bank 0 for FIRE and bank 3 for CHP and bank 8 for USFS.
When a scanner (other than the '97) stops on a conversation (conventional channel), the 3rd line shows the TEXT for the channel and the 4th line shows the TEXT for the BANK. My '97 is not doing this. When it stops on a conventional channel I still get the TEXT for the CHANNEL on the 3rd line, but the 4th line is BLANK. Ironically the 4th line shows the BANK TEXT WHILE SCANNING! I do have the channels set to FM (or AM) as when using DC or CT I get the CT freq.
Is this how the '97 works? Or is there a setting I am missing? What is the command to change how it displays?
