Pro-97 /Win97 (V01.17) Header Timeout

COM port is correct and cable tests fine. Able to upload/download to another PRO-97 as well as a PRO-2055 with no problems. Hook up my "new" 97 and get the header issues. Any Ideas or do you think it is a prob with the Scanner?

Thanks for the tip. I did download the latest release but it didn't fix the problem. Also tried to clone to the 2055 and received a "incompatible" message.

It is still under warranty (extended) so I think I am just going to send it in.

So consigliori did the repaired scanner work? I am having the same problem as you, header error when downloading, incorrect model when uploading. Would love to hear how everything turned out, or if anyone else has a fix for this!

Hah! I figured all this out! It seems that I did NOT purchase a PRO-2055, but actually a PRO-163! It's in a PRO-2055 box, says PRO-2055 on the receipt, but the sticker on the back says PRO-163! Downloaded from Win97 via the "Download from PRO-163/164" option and it works fine. So now all I need to know is did I get screwed or did I get a deal (I did only pay half price, 99.99)? Did the 163 replace the 2055 or is it the other way around? Anybody have an opinion on which is better or maybe anyone just know the difference? They look the same...
