Yes you can pick up EVERYTHING on the Rankin Co TRS, as well as the ANALOG stuff on the Central MS TRS, the Simpson Co TRS, and the Jackson "Evers" International Airport TRS, and the MDOC TRS, as they have not switched over to the MSWIN, and it appears they will be the last state agency to do so, once its completed and they get full coverage of thier facilities.

Anytime. The 97 is a nice upgrade of the 92, except for that it has issues with rebanding.. and wont do VHF LTR. So that knocks Simpson County off your listening... And Yazoo as well if you ever go that far over... Youll have to see if it will monitor the Rankin TRS OK... Have not heard from anyone with the older scanners like the 93, 95, and 97 report on whether they can still do Rankin after the reband was done.

It should do Rankin ok. All of the system frequencies show to have a 5 in the fourth decimal place. That's the key. If one or more had a zero, then the custom reband tables would be required. But with the five's, they are not.

OK ty for that info... Youll still need an 92, or 106 to monitor Simpson... and if he wants to hear MHP definitely a 106 or better as Troop C is now on the MSWIN!
