I have a Pro97 and had the battery's leak I cleaned it up and all is working just fine but I did loose the back lighting on the keypad and the display anybody have any ideas.Other then that works great

LCD display contrast will NOT affect the backlighting.

Backlighting is done with some LEDs. I'd guess that a circuit trace got corroded from the battery acid. You'll either have to send it in, repair it yourself, or find someone that can do it for you.
