Hi all
Really need some help on this. I have problems with getting the digital freqs to stay in the pro197. I downloaded the freq list from here for the the counties but they only come in for about a day. I learned this morning from our emergency management officer that Iowa co. wisconsin only has one tower that is here in Dodgeville wi. the other 2 are state owned and are shared. I will enclose the email that i was sent by the EMO with the hex/dec freqs. He stated that the reason that I can only pickup the conversations for a short time is the state changes them all the time. Please help me understand what and how to program the pro197 to get the digital freqs. Iowa county wi has just switched over to the digital and i am stumped what to do other than what i have done. I have over 50 customers that are waiting for me to progam the scanners that i sell. Like i said they work for about a day then nothing. Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks,
Dan

Ok got the Iowa co wi figured out but when i put another county in wi in it does not pick up anything. Two pro 197's next to each other the one with just Iowa co picks up and the other one with Dane co and Iowa co is completly quiet. Anyone know what i am doing wrong? Went through the forums but no help.
Thanks,
Dan

I'm told that in some systems they rotate control channels periodically.

If you program control channels as well as alternate control channels then you should be covered if that's the issue. If you only have 3 towers in range then there is plenty of capacity for alternate control channels in a single scanlist.
