can anyone tell me the part number or where to find brass part for volume squelch that's in the pic I've tried every where but cant even get a part #

It's not a separate part! You just need to buy the volume/squelch potentiometer.

As ratboy pointed out, it is not just a pin, that is the shaft coming out of the control.

What has happened, that you think you need a new one?

Brass pin broken

The brass pin broke and can't control volume I removed the pin and tried to duplicate it but it's not an easy piece to make I would like to know where I could order periometer from

potentiometer I know I spelled it wrong but I would like to order one it's easy to install the pin with a clip on the end

The above part numbers are from the 197 service manual. They are manufacturers numbers and there are no Radio Shack numbers listed.

I'm not sure if the numbers are GRE numbers or not but I suspect at least one of them may be a Spectrol part number. It could be a custom dual control so you may not be able to find it.
