pro2096 programming

I need help programming apco 25 freq such as LAPD. When i program it i either hear static or i will hear them talk then it will go to static. When i press the scan button i wont hear any of the digital freq even the static. Any suggestions would be helpful. What are the steps to programming it.

Let's start here...even though it doesn't directly address programming P25, I'm going to wager that this is going to get you in the right direction.

Of course, getting Win96 from Starrsoft, a compatible USB cable and a premium subscription so you can download data from RR is always recommended :.>>

I would jump to the California forum (or one of the many California Yahoo scanning groups) and see if there's something special you need to do with the 2096 to get it to work right. Someone there might even have .p96 (the extension Win96 uses) files you can use to get yourself up and running fast
