Pro95 cloning available in Reno

I have a Pro95 available for cloning on the Washoe County Edacs. 38 stations on 4 locations using first 3 banks (closed) 0-police, 1-Fire, 2-NHP/Misc with talkgroup id +Alpha and sub groups for entity by entity. Also bank 3 contains Washoe Edacs with ID's +Alpha in open mode to help identify new/moved/shifted/undiscovered talk groups.

Soon to have a P95 file after I get the cable in a couple of days.

the unfortunate thing with the pro-95 cable is that it has a serial adapter. i have a new laptop that does not have a serial port - i got a usb to serial converter but i can't seem to get it to work correctly....what do you suggest...have you overcome this problem?

Let me know next time you are in Reno. Bring your 95 and your Laptop. I've had reasonable success with serial-usb adaptors and nearly 100% success with the one RS sells.

nice..i used to work for radio shack store # 01-8946 in west palm beach, FL. I was the only guy in the county that could program our scanners. people used to travel 50 miles from miami and FT lauderdale to see me. small world.
