Can the pro96 turn on or off the status bit changes in the talkgroup ID like when the talkgroup is patched with another?

No, the Pro96 can't do status bits, gotta get a Uniden for that....wish it did though, would come in real handy!

I was under the impression that the PRO96 ignores status bits. Meaning that you only have to program the base talkgroup and don't have to program all the talkgroups that would match all possible status bit combinations. Also meaning that it stops on all possible status bit combinations for each base talkgroup programmed.

When my PD here dispatches a "All Call"=ID183 or 215, odd Ids my PRO96 always reverts to one of the regular IDs like 208 or 176 and i miss nothing. My Unidens go directly to 183 and 215....

You're correct. They ignore the status bits and just use the regular talkgroup number for all status bits. Ex. Fire Dispatch Multi-select is the same talkgroup number as regular Fire Dispatch.

Storing Frequencies Question

Do you know how to add frequencies that DO NOT have decimel points in them?

I can't do it on my Pro 94 Radio Shack radio.
Thanks for your help.

Sounds like your talking about a "talk group ID".

Can you give us an example and who is using it?

talk group

I'm kind of new to this, but I think I know what you mean by talk group.
It would be a number such as
Police Charlotte Mecklenburg PD (Adam) 8272
I don't know how to add it in my scanner.
