Would you feel better if I sold you the PRo18 I got on clearance from RS for $300 or the one I got from Overstock for$300? Either way you pay the same price and I still have a PRO18 to go along with my PSR800. Just a slight difference in my net proceeds.
Gotta say I tend to agree. The price is whatever the seller decides they want for it. If they want too much for it, it won't sell. Seeing as how some units are going for $300-$350 and selling I'd say $300 isn't too much to ask. If you got it for $80 or $300 it really doesn't matter. As you said, since you have one of each, the net profit result to you is the same.
The opposite often happens too where someone will pay $300 for something and then later on try to pawn or sell it and they are disappointed to find out that the item they paid $300 for is only worth $50 to the pawn shop. Then the pawn shop turns around and sells it for $200 which is a great deal for the buyer on an item that sold new for $300, but what no one is thinking about is that the pawn shop probably got their hands on it for $50 or less. That's just the way used retail works.
