Out of Stock

That's great news. They really are nice radios, though I agree with you in re the software. I've had mine since they went on sale for $200 last year and I'm still learning things about iScan. But like you, I can hear stuff now.

You must have gotten the best set of batteries in existence! I managed to coax mine up to about 9+ hours with 2500 mAh cells and I thought that was pretty good, considering the unit's track record for eating batteries. But I'm on external power most of the time so it's not really a concern.

I'm wondering how much longer Overstock is going to keep the page up? No word on anyone seeing them back in stock for quite awhile now, I fear that they're gone. Though I didn't manage to snag one of those -- I just wanted a spare to keep in the car -- I'm happy for the folks who managed to get one. It's a great value for the money.

I just left the live chat room with Overstock. They are currently out of stock. Are there any other places to buy this radio at this price, $79?

too bad they don't have any more then single ones that pop up here and there. Probably returns from buyers who didnt like the scanner for a reason.

I've bought quite a few and kept 2 for my personal use.

If you hear of one for $79, I would appreciate getting a PM. Thanks.

Keep in mind that this is a scanner that hasn't been in production for going on two years now. New ones (including store display models) are going to be few and far between. The initial batch of $79 radios on Overstock was probably the bulk of the leftover scanners pulled from Radio Shack stores. I imagine since then, it's been just an occasional scanner found in a backroom here and there, or returned.

I see where some of the offers have been declined. However, there was one offer which was not. Thank you for the link and tip off regarding this radio; however, I seriously doubt I will offer anywhere close to the $300 something he is asking.

Instead, I will save that money for a Phase II. It was just too good to be true, the $79.00. LOL.
