Hi

I'm having a problem with my SDS100E (Europe). I selected the dPMR option, everything worked, and the option is active.

But whether it's on the scan or on Sentinel, I can't create a dPMR system.

Firmware version 1.23.15 and Sentinel 2.03.05

I reset the scan and installed the Sentinel Europe version. It didn't change anything.

I don't understand what the problem is.

Does any of you have an explanation?

Thanks

Jeremy

Try seting it up as a conventional system. the scanner should autodetect the dPMR signal. I do not believe there is any dPMR trunking. FYI I am not in EMEA so I cannot confirm.

Yes, KevinC, I'm in France. I don't think dPMR mode is used in the United States or Canada, but maybe one of you has an idea. And sorry for my poor English.

Thanks, Gary. I'm going to try programming a conventional system. I don't know if it's possible to create a dPMR system or if it's just usable for listening.

Some hams in North America do use dPMR, and while the code for dPMR decoding is already in the firmware, it becomes a licensing issue as to why it's not implemented in the SDS units here. Personally, I would pay for the upgrade key, if it were available here.

That said, try setting the dPMR equivalent of NAC/RAN/CC to "search" and make sure all service types are set on, just to be sure.

Ubbe has a good point. I believe that the later dPMR use a different revision of the codec. On a related side note some of the Chinese DMR radios seem to be using a different revision of the AMBE codec.
