I'm having trouble setting up the trunking feature for a Motorola Type II (UHF) system in my county on a BC 898T. On the other hand, I've had no trouble setting it up for the county next door which is a Motoroloa Type II (800 MHz). The trunking on that one is working flawlessly.
For the UHF system, which is harder to setup, it appears my error might be in the base frequency/spacing/offset setup. I'm trying to use frequency information from radioreference.com but with no luck. When I input what I think are the correct numbers to setup the trunking, the radio is unable to find any talk groups in trunking search mode even though I know they're active. It's trunking, but it's missing the talk groups. It's an analog system. (I am using scanner software ARC898.)
Radioreference gives me the following:
Base 453.0125 Spacing 6.25 Offset 380
Base 460.0000 Spacing 6.25 Offset 536
Primary control channels are 460.1, 460.25, 460.45, and 460.6
I do know that the BC 898T is rejecting a spacing of 6.25, and the Uniden version of the software that I tried earlier doesn't even have a choice of 6.25. Where am I going wrong? Is there a way I can make this work?
The website reference for the frequencies is: http://www.radioreference.com/apps/db/?sid=1134
Any help you can give would be appreciated.
