Hi All,
I have an old Compaq Presario V2000 running XP Home Edition that I use for a scanner feed. It hasn't beeen cleaned out in sometime so I thought it would be best to refresh it and bring it back to factory settings. With said, I put the XP disk in and after a few minutes of processing, this appeared, "Windows could not start becuse the following file is missing or corrupt: <Windows root>\system32\ntoskrnl.exe. Please re-install a copy of the above file"
I have researched all over the net to find a fix for it however, what I do type in during the recovery mode doesn't seem to work.
Anyone with any suggestions and/or recommendations, please contact me. Thank you very much in advance!
