Please someone help me I have tried so many things with negative results
I have a Uniden BCD396T
Everything works as it should for every other system I have programed with the exception of these below.
I have programed about 15 digital Systems and it won't stop on on active digital transmissions.
If I go to the control channel and HOLD then I get a very strong signal and ACTIVE ID's flashing on the screen. I then press SCAN for the scanner to pick up and listen to these id's and it scans the whole system and continues on to a different system.
If I go back to the control channel and wait, then the active id's for that control channel flash up on the screen and if I MANUALLY turn to those id's in the system.... guess what? I hear the transmission.
SO I press SCAN again to get the scanner to pick up the id's on it's own without me holding it's hand and boom. Nothing.
FYI--it's the Ontario Provincial Police or OPP if anyone is wondering what system
Using Freescan to program
I have set the system as MOT Type II/P25
Then I have set the site as MOT VHF
Created groups that have the ID's that I would like to listen to
Set the band plan according to this website
Set the Control channels according to this website
Tried adjusting digital threshold levels
Tried putting in all the system frequencies in the trunk freq section
Tried only putting the primary control channel
Tried putting only the primary control channel and the secondary control channel
Tried changing the the site type to MOT P25
The thing that really gets me, is that it works if I manually use the control channel as the scanner with the id's flashing on the screen of active transmissions then manually tune to those id's and hold there. Then, and only then, can I listen to the OPP digital system.
