Problem with Pro-96 volume

Good day to the group i am looking for some help with my Pro-96, I have startedto have issues with the volume control. when I turn the unit on it the volume is very low after a little time it returns to normal, after awhile of the unit being on it will complete volume. I have sent it to radio shack twice with no luck I have openend the unit myself and have checked all components that might raise a red flag.

Try spraying the shaft ( get in with a can of compressed air). If that doesn't work it probably needA ew volums potentiometer. Someone has posted this info before, if ya feel goood about nrepairing it yourself you can do that or it is probabaly a trip to RS repair & take perhaps 2 -3 weeks
