Dear friends,

One of my friend has operates 2 x 100w barretes base station radios simultaniously. moreover both radios are been kept very closedby and he has tried to call from one to another. boath radios were fine earlier and one radios receiver side is not working right now. one technician is saying that it can happen due to operates 2 high power radios closedby simultaniously. could someone expalin me of this matter wether it is possible or not?

Yes. It is not just possible, but likely to happen.

The RF energy from one antenna can be transferred to another antenna that is too close. This energy can then damage the circuitry in the receiving radio. This is especially likely to occur when high power signals are transmitted.

One solution is to separate the antennas as far as possible, either horizontally (good) or vertically (better).
