When I was in Houston the other day, I tried to pick up the Metropolitan Transit Authority LTR TRS. I programmed in all of the LCNs correctly on my 396, but I was unable to track. I heard traffic when I put the scanner in manual mode. Is it possible the system might have been upgraded to Passport, or did I mess something up when I programmed the system into my scanner?

Ah, okay...I guess I'll remove it from my scanner. Is there a chance that there will be a Multi-Net scanner anytime soon, or is it just a dream like ProVoice?

In theory, it should be much easier for manufacturers to make scanners that can follow the widely established analog trunking protocols like Passport, MultiNet, and MPT-1327 than it will be for them to make a ProVoice decoding scanner. Remember, the decision to allow scanners to decode ProVoice is not up to the manufacturer's; it's up to DVSI and MA/COM. (i.e. ain't gonna happen)
