Program Pro-97 w/Icom OPC-478 cable?

Just curious if anyone has had any luck programming a Pro-97 with the Icom OPC-478 cable? I realize RS has their own programming cable, but I thought I'd ask anyway.

If I wind up getting a Pro-97, that's one less cable to buy. Most likely I'd be using Win97 for programming.

I have had luck using it on my PRO-92, 95, 96 and 2067. I would guess that it would work just as well with the 97. If I remember correctly, I had to use a stereo to mono adapter.

Just be careful, you could short out the PC/IF jack and cause damage if not connected correctly.
