Program Type II To Trx1

I have a Trx1 and I am wanting to add a type II system to its own scan set. How would one go about programming it?

What system? It makes a difference if the system is using rebanded frequences or not.

The MSWIN system

You have your terminology mixed up. There is an older Motorola Type II system. The newer systems are P25 Phase II. MSWIN is P25 Phase II. The system type should be Project25. You will also need to add the sites and talkgroups you intend to use. You most likely will not be able to receive any MSWIN sites from your location due to the distance.

On such short notice, your best bet will be updating the database and using zip code scanning. To program manually, it looks like Quin is the best site in Pike County for McComb. Under the Site Options tab, Trunking Tables must be set to Auto Fill since the site uses 700 MHz frequencies. You only need to enter the 3 red control channel capable frequencies. Drop the "c" when entering the frequencies.

Thanks I programmed them in and I was to pick up pretty doggone good. I was using the scan sets mode and when the state line I pulled into a welcome center and changed from LWIN to MSWIN. The conversation was clear .
